If you love narnia you might just like this….but then again Lewis is a once-in-a-generation type of genius, and I’m…..not.
FAQ
What age range might enjoy Deborah?
I would guess perhaps around 11 and upwards, although I know of a family who read Deborah to their girls aged 8 & 10 and they gave it a thumbs up.
A darkness comes? Is it Scary?
Almost entirely no, but if you were to read it to younger children perhaps check chapter 16 (‘The Witch’) -that’s as bad as it gets.
Where can I get my copy?

This was a fantastic read. It has a Narnian flavour to it, but I think is an easier read for this generation of tween/ teen readers. It was exciting (my heart was literally racing at times!) and has good moral themes of bravery, teamwork, sacrifice, friendship, and good vs evil. Deborah is a really lovely heroine. I can’t wait for the sequel(s)!
