Why Wooden Donkey?

As most of you probably know my last name is McConkey, and so I first thought of wooden donkey when I was working closely in ministry with my good friend Rev Scott Woodburn- you take the wood from Woodburn, the ‘onkey’ from McConkey and you’re not too far from wooden donkey! Though Scott hasn’t been connected to God’s Big Story, I decided I’d stick with the name. Biblically speaking both wood and a donkey were humble things used for a much higher purpose- I hope this website is just that.
